Last year in January my mother and I decided it would be in my best interest to switch schools. What was the most unusual, was that their days consisted of eight classes, each 45 minutes long. I was shocked that the teachers could complete anything in 45 minutes; at my last school, periods consisted of 90 minute classes with the same four classes every other day.
When I was young, I never thought that I would ever be subjected to major change. I had a general path that I would take in mind, and was content. Everything changed that eventful afternoon when my mother told me that we were moving. I remember feeling distraught and confused which eventually pushed me into isolation, leading up to the move. As I approached the high school, I saw multiple doors but was not for sure on which one to open. I just chose the one that less people were using. The door creeped inch by inch and I could not believe my eyes. But during these 5 years I have accomplished many things. I came to America when I was 9 so I didn 't speak any English, besides a few basic terms.
